The Benwiskin Centre is set in the shadow of Benwiskin Mountain in the rural village of Ballintrillick.   The Sligo coastline is  a short distance away.  The Benwiskin Center was formerly a school. It was

renovated, restored, and expanded.

Office Hours:  The office is open Monday

through Friday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you are arriving outside of office hours, please call/text the out-of-office hours

mobile number which is 00353 (0) 87 4149189 and inform a member of staff of your expected time of arrival.  Arrival before 10 p.m. unless otherwise agreed.

-Since the foundation of the Ballintrillick

Environmental Group back in 1992, the

consistent aim has been the enhancement and preservation of the environment.

-Benwiskin Centre has participated in

fifteen annual clean-ups of the environment

-Benwiskin Centre has developed the Mill

Site in the Gleniff Horseshoe as an amenity area with walks, picnic areas and the restoration of the stables on the site.

-Benwiskin Centre has planted hardwood trees.

-Benwiskin Centre has had a community organic garden for three years.

-Benwiskin Centre operates a reduce, reuse,

and recycle policy.

-Benwiskin Centre recently installed

solar panels.

-Benwiskin Centre has a wood pellet boiler

system to reduce carbon footprint.
