History:  Count de Basterot built this

beautiful house in 1866.  In September

1897,  William Butler Yeats (Nobel

Prize Laureate in Literature), Lady

Gregory, and Edward Martyn met with

the Count to start the discussion leading

to the formation of the Irish National

Theatre.
