Sandrock Hostel is an ideal place to stay. My second time there. I have recommended Sandrock to several people and everyone have loved it. The location is stunning and the hostel has all the comforts of home. Rodney and Margaret are two lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The place is spotless,...

Reviewed 29 April 2011
I have been in Malin Head a few times before but somehow I had never had the chance to stay at the Sandrock Hostel. And well, I have been missing out on something! This hostel simply rocks: most clean that a lot of 4 stars hotels I have been to, quiet and at the same time lively, it stands just...

“Beautiful, cozy, delightful cottage!”
Reviewed 14 November 2008
This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It is in a stunningly beautiful locale, with lots of sights within (brisk) walking distance. Upon arrival, the owner provides a hand drawn map of the area and provides directions to all the sights. The common area is cozy (woodburning stove!) and clean, with a full and well-stocked kitchen. Multiple,...

A hostel with character! Never seen anything as good as this! We just have to give credit to the owners of the hostel, they have really had a good thought of it - there's A LOT and different kinds of information about the place, you can't even imagine before you actually have seen it! Sadly, we stayed only for 1 night, but it would have been worth to spend a week there, for sure! Wow is all we can say! Thanks a lot!!! Edgars and Evita from Latvia

Absolutely amazing. This is probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in in my life. Rodney and Margaret are the nicest hosts with such a fantastic knowledge of Malin Head. This is definitely the spot to be if you're visiting, and I recommend you do!! You won't be disappointed.

Rodney and Margaret, are going to welcome as if this was a B&B and even more! They provide musical instruments, coffee, tea and very useful information for visiting Malin Head! For that price just go for it!

Best hostel I\'ve ever stayed at - looks and feels more like a B&B minus the breakfest. The hostel is directly across from the Atlantic Ocean and you can see many views of mountains in the distance. The couple that runs the hostel truly makes you feel at home and gives you all the information you need to know about the area. Great price too!!! Thank you for your great hospitality and we will try to get back and spend a week.
